Your New Daily Doses of Existential Crisis
Have you every had one of those days where you were in class, your professor is talking about bunch of stuffs about your lesson that day, and you just sit there, bored, and then you decided to look at the window. Then, suddenly, your teacher's voice slowly fades and so as the other sounds you hear. You just stare there, at the blue sky, at a very normal day. And then while looking at the endless horizon....your brain decided to mess you up. "Brain: Why am i here? There is no purpose in life, so why am here, I don't need to be doing this. What is even is "real"? Is there a God? Are we a simulation?"
And then this goes on, till you drown in existential dread and you go home, lock yourself up in the room and the existential dread continues to eat up your soul till you decided to kill yourself... just kidding. But seriously, this happens more often than we realize. Like everyday, these same questions just pops up in our head, maybe while we are taking a shit or having a shower. What's the purpose of these anyway? Honestly, i don't know. But these guys here seems like they do:

Those people eventually found new meanings on their lives by trying to answer or give solutions to their existential dreads but others still seems loss and unable to find meaning and motivation to life because of the dread (like me). I perfectly know that existential crisis is not a subject matter that is supposed to be taken lightly although we experience is often, because this matter may become serious and a lot of people have actually suffered and are currently suffering because of this. Some of them falls into depression, or unmotivated state or even suicide after having this existential crisis for so long (and more serious than most people experience).
Yes, it is indeed a serious subject and may cause serious things but, admit it, to those who constantly dwell in this subject, some of you thinks its interesting, right? It bugs your mind and you just sit there, doing nothing and just thinking of "existence" itself, which is a subject that is really hard to grasp for our feeble minds but still we always try. To me (most of the time, but not always), I enjoy having my daily dose of existential crisis, it's like an exercise for my mind. It's like my mind drifts off to the unknown and every time, I go deeper and realize new things. It's exiting. I don't know about most people but I'm pretty sure that I'm not the only one, there are a lot of people like out there. Who knows, maybe you are one too *gives out internet bro fist*.
And for my fellow mates out there, i made this article just for you. Almost a year ago, I discovered these amazing youtube channels, which are the perfect channels for an existentialist or even someone who just likes to philosophize or think about stuffs (mostly about existence and life). One of this sites is Kurzgesat.
1. Kurzgesat - in a nutshell
Link: https://www.youtube.com/user/Kurzgesagt
Kurzgesagt is a growing youtube channel with 4.9 million subscribers. This is probably one of the best channels in youtube, both for their quality content and the amazing animations! The amazing animations itself is already top notch, and together with their quality content and haunting musics, this channel is just perfect! Hell, they even have an existential crisis playlist! The truth is, when I first discovered this channel i spent days binge watching their videos, and i still can't get enough of them. The only downside is, they don't really post so often since one video takes a month or more than to make, thus their slogan "One video a month. Quality > Quantity." But to my delight, recently, they have been posting more often, this month i believed they have posted 2-3 videos already.
If you are still hesitant to visit that channel, here is one of my favorite videos from their channel to convince you to visit them. (You'll be missing a lot!)
2. exurb1a Link: https://www.youtube.com/user/willunicycleforfood
Exurb1a is a fairly new channel but with growing subscribers of 532,000+. His videos are very know for the smooth voice, interesting witty scripts, Low key passive aggressiveness towards humans and society, a joyful moment of appreciation and instantly followed by existential crisis at the end of the video. Although the animations or graphics of kurgezsat is very dominant compared to that of exurb1a's, for me, exurb1a's content wins. Plus, i think they're animations are not really that bad, although not flashy, it fits very well to the content. The videos are very relatable and extremely witty (and also depressing). This channel is the most hard core source of existential crisis out there, you might even overdose after watching more than 2 videos at a single sitting. One of their videos made my bawl like crazy at the middle of seemingly perfect day and I don't really have any problems during that time but realized that I do have problems but never admitted them to myself ( haha :( ) Well anway, I'll just leave this video to you from their channel, this is one of the most clever videos he has so far (it was just released recently). I've already warned you. Enter in your own discord!
Just a disclaimer, you'll probably get confused the first time you see it or for the first minutes of the video but you'll get into it after a while. Just watch the video till the end, you'll be glad that you did.
So, that's all for this list, if you have anymore recommendations for us, leave them out on the comments!
Now, enjoy your new daily doses of existential crisis!
